Two Rivers Sports

In May we won the u16's boys 6 a side soccer competition in a penalty shootout in the final against Wightwick Hall School from Wolverhampton.
The girls were runners up in the Netball competition on the same day.

June 27th saw the school again win the u14 "sport across Staffordshire" tag rugby for the 4th year. Our B team beating the A team in the final.

 

On April 30th 2008 the school retained the WMSSSA basketball trophy, winning all of their matches.

 

This is the third consecutive year that we have won the tournament.  Congratulations to: Stephen, James, Jake, Luke and Barrie.

In the U16 girls race our runners came 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th in a field of over 50 runners. Emma winning from Lauren and Jodie.

We also won both boys events with Jordan coming 5th in the U16 race.

Nathan came 8th in the U14 race with other runners packing in close together.

One runner to note for the future was Shannon, who came 8th in the girls race in her first attempt.

Aston Villa Indoor Soccer

We again entered two teams in the Rotary Club sponsored tournament.

The U16 team won both of their matches, 6-2 and 5-3

The U14 team drew both of theirs 0-0 and 3-3. The performance of Jack in goal was excellent and saved us from defeat.

All players enjoyed being at the Villa Indoor training ground.

Staffs Girls Soccer League - Stoke FC

 

On January 30th the school entered two teams in the first of the league fixtures.  Each team played 5 matches at 4 a-side, the A team won all 5 without conceeding a goal.  The B team won 2 drew 1 and lost 2 games.

 

 

On May 21st the girls completed their league fixtures.  The A team won the A league and the B team won the B league.

  WMSSSA

 

On May 15th the mixed Netball team and boys under 14 and under 16 soccer teams played in Thw West Midlands Championship in Wolverhampton.

 

Both the Netball and under 16 teams got to the final after winning their leagues, but both were defeated after close games.
