Environmental Art

Anthony Hammond an Environmental Artist came into school for a week and worked with Blue Class.

They went to Hodge Lane in Amington Tamworth looking for inspiration to create a bug.

They had to look closely to find bugs hiding in their habitats.

Back at school they pencilled their ideas.

With Anthony's help Blue Class decided how they were going to construct their designs.

Choosing the right tools and materials they set about their task.

Each design was handcrafted.

They used metal wire and coloured beads.

Each bug will be set in resin and then mounted in an oak post.
These then will become a route for walkers to follow around Hodge Lane.
